N0. 116 CIW CH 8 KENTUCKY DAVIS’ CONFEDERATE GUERRILLA COMMAND
Commander: Captain Jim Davis (aka Henry Wells) Davis was son of a Jessamine County widow. He was captured, tried and sentenced to death. Later pardoned he served time but was released after becoming sick.

N0. 115 CIW CH 8 KENTUCKY MARION’S CONFEDERATE GUERRILLA COMMAND
Commander: Captain Bill Marion Marion led at most 70 men and may never have been in regular Confederate service. The command operated in Spencer and Nelson Counties. Marion was killed near New Haven on April 15, 1865.

N0. 114 CIW CH 8 KENTUCKY COLTER’S CONFEDERATE GUERRILLA COMMAND
Commander: Captain Isaac Colter Colter was from Washington Co. and stood 6 foot 6 inches. His father and brother had been killed by Federal soldiers. In 1864 he claimed to have killed 19 Union men with his own hands.

N0. 109 CIW CH 8 KENTUCKY YATES’ CONFEDERATE GUERRILLA COMMAND
Commanding officer: Captain Dick Yates On July 21, 1864, Yates command ambushed a detachment of Union Home Guards at Rough River Creek in Daviess County. Four guard members were killed.
