Commander: Wilson Maddox
The command attacked Federal troops at Scobey´s Hotel in Old Montevallo on the night of April 14, 1862. A number were killed on either side. Maddox fled and was overtaken on the Lipe Branch and had his face shot to pieces and was left for dead. He recovered and was later killed in Newton County in 1863.
